India’s cricket captain and prolific run getter, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, wants to score some runs in Bollywood. He has reportedly invited Deepika Padukone to watch him play the Twenty20 match against Australia on at Brabourne Stadium Mumbai Saturday, October 20.

19 October 2007 (Sawf News) - India’s cricket captain and prolific run getter, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, wants to score some runs in Bollywood. He has reportedly invited Deepika Padukone to watch him play the Twenty20 match against Australia at Brabourne Stadium Mumbai Saturday, October 20.

Indications are Deepika is going to attend. She has canceled an engagement she had for Saturday.

“Bhushan Kumar, the T-Series head honcho, was keen that the ‘Om Shanti Om ‘leading lady attend his sister Tushali’s party in Delhi tomorrow but Deepika begged off saying that she wants to see Dhoni in action on the ground,” a snitch told Mid Day.

Here is the catch that may rule Dhoni, 26, out. Deepika, 19, will be attending with a lot of her friends including family friend and ex-beau (some say current beau), Nihar Pandya. Besides, if she does go she will cheer for the whole team not just Dhoni!

“I am not sure if I am going but if I am free that day then I will go. If I do go it will be for the entire team. Also I love sports since that’s my background,” she says.

We will need the third eye slow motion replay to figure out that decision!

We welcome Dhoni’s decision to score a six with Deepika but are disturbed by the fact that he at the same time scoring boundaries elsewhere.
