Vadivelu talks on Apsara Shriya
Vadivelu who plays the lead role in movie Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan spoke to the media after the audio release of the movie on December 9th.
He especially spoke about Shriya Saran who was roped in to do a Item number in the movie. He said “On the five days that the shoot happened for the song, there were a lot of phone calls that happened regarding this and how a leading actress can dance in a song with a comedian. I am not sure why this should happen. Some of them came to the shoot to confirm that Shriya was indeed acting in the movie and I do not want to name them. This is just profession and Shirya dancing in a movie is just her work. When Shirya was dancing in the movie I asked her how she accepted to dance in the movie with me and she replied that she is my good fan and likes my comedy even though I don’t understand the language”. He recollected that yesteryear actress K.R. Vijaya, who had acted with MGR and Sivaji Ganesan, also acted with Nagesh as his pair. Producer Manikam Narayanan did the unthinkable and approached Shriya to appear in the song and the actress accepted.
He also spoke about his character in the film where he plays the role of Indra, Yama and a common man Azhagappan, and how he enjoyed doing all these roles. He was all praises for director Thambi Ramiya, who put in his limitless efforts to bring about this movie.
