Three from IIT-K win innovation award
Manoj Kumar Tripathy, Abhishek and Rahul Sharma of IIT Kanpur have won the Lucas TVS Innovation Award for securing first place in the national-level design contest for engineering students, conducted by the Product Development and Management Association of India (PDMA).
The trio won a cash prize of Rs one lakh.
The second prize of Rs 50,000 was bagged by Mayank Jain of Maharaja Agarsen Institute of Technology, New Delhi. The prize was sponsored by R M K Engineering College.
The third prize of Rs 35,000, sponsored by R M D Engineering College, was shared by Easwari Engineering College and Meenakshi Sundaresan College, a PDMA press release said.
