Surya has acted in a few awareness films and he’s now to act in an Aids awareness film.

Suriya is currently acting in a couple of big projects including Vel and Varanam Aayiram. Suriya, who is the brand ambassador of Tanker Foundation, is acting in a short film on AIDS awareness.

Beside Suriya, Nasser too plays a prominent role in it.

If the mother has Aids, it will affect the baby in the womb. Now with modern medicine, it is possible to treat the mother so the disease will not affect the unborn child. Surya is acting in a film that conveys this message. Produced by the Tamilnadu Aids Control Dept, this film will be screened before the main film in theatres.

The movie is produced by Tamil Nadu AIDS Control society and would be screened in several theatres which have DTS facilities. Aids has affected people in towns and villages near Salem and Namakkal.

“The short film on AIDS awareness is my effort towards creating awareness on the deadly HIV virus. I hope it would reach the masses and serve the purpose well”, says Suriya.
