Special camera for Sandai, Sundar C, Porukki, Mahamaham, Sandai, Ragini, Nadhiya and Namitha, director Shakthi Chidambaram

Special Camera has been used to shoot the fight scenes in Sandai movie. The movie has Sundar C, in the lead and it was originally titled Porukki, but following a friendly advice from the producers’ council to consider changing the title, the team settled on the title Mahamaham.

But the film crew was not satisfied with the title and changed it to Sandai. The movie also has Ragini, Nadhiya and Namitha in supporting roles. The fight scene in this movie between the villian and Sundar C has been shot in a special way by director Shakthi Chidambaram.

A 500 A C camera has been hired with uses a 16 mm film and this special camera has been used to shoot the fight scenes. The scenes will then be converted to cinemascope and it is said that the scenes and motions will be very clear with this camera. The daily rent of this camera would be rupees sixty thousand.

Namitha who was not originally in the cast has been booked for the movie now. It was through Shakthi Chidambaram’s movies that Namitha came to known as a glam doll in the Tamil film industry and perhaps it is her gratitude towards him that made her accept the role without even listening to the storyline.
