Silambattam shooting starts
The 25th film of Lakshmi Movie Makers (LMM), Silambattam with Silambarasan and Sana Khan in the lead role started on December 7th in a grand pooja at the Pillayar temple in AVM Studios. Cameraman Saravanan is doing his directorial debut in Silambattam. Cinematography is by R. Madhi and music is by Dina. Simbu sporting a paster on his left thumb was present along with heroine Sana and father T. Rajendran at the movie pooja.
The movie is going to be shot in the temple towns of Kumbakonam, Tiruvayur and Tirunelveli. The backdrop of Silambaattam will be both village and city. The movie will have John Vijay (‘Oram Po’ fame) playing the villain. There is going to be a remix number from “Thiruvilayadal” in the movie.
In the movie Simbu portrays a character of a innocent poojari who takes law into his hands due to certain circumstances that happen in his life. It is said that when Saravanan wanted to narrate the story to Simbu he did not want to listen, but when he heard the story, he liked the story and gave call sheet for the movie immediately.
