What does it mean to be cast opposite superstar Rajnikanth in a movie directed by Shankar? It’s a dream for any Tamil film actress. The leading lady of Rajnikanth-starrer Sivaji, Shriya Saran echoes the feeling.

“It’s wonderful and surprising that I am on the cover of a magazine and am actually launching it,” she says.

Shriya’s done just three movies so far but with Sivaji, she now has what many would die for.

“The first thing I am asked is how is Rajni sir. It’s so nice to talk just good things about him,” she says.

But ask her about her role in Sivaji and she say’s it’s a closely guarded secret

“There are lot of passionate scenes, I am dying to see them myself. I haven’t seen a single frame of the movie no a single micro mini frame. We were not even allowed to see the monitor. It’s his (Shankar’s) signature movie but at the same time he’s put in a lot extra,” says Shriya.

So what did the 25-year-old think about jiving with the superstar who’s more than twice her age? There’s even a rap number in the film where she shakes a leg with the superstar.

“You could act like a star because you are a star and forget the small things but he’s not like that. He’s still a child at heart and those are the qualities that make him what he is today,” she says.

That may not really explain the Rajni phenomenon but being Sivaji’s sweet heart has given Shriya her own ticket to super stardom.
