Protest with Mirugam by Samy
Mirugam director Samy is planning a unique protest with a herd of Mirugam’s aka a herd of bulls against the deletion of the ‘jallikattu’ scene from the movie. Hero Aadhi will join him in this protest.
It can be recalled that the Animal welfare board protested against the ‘Jallikattu’ scene in the movie and refused to give a clearance certificate to the censor board and in the end minute, they had to cut the scene to get the A certificate to release the movie on December 14th.
The producer Karthik Jai and the director of the film feel that the Jallikattu scene was the integral part of the movie to show the hero as a brave man. Deletion of the scene has resulted in the hero being depicted completely in a different way.
The director along with hero Aathi and a herd of bulls is going to take out a protest in their loin cloths from Chennai Central railway station to the Animal Welfare Board in Thiruvanmiyur.
