Shocking but true!!…Distributor Nag Ravi who along with his Insight Media were the overseas distributors of Machakaran has been caught in the act of making pirated copy of Machakaran movie in Devi Sridevi preview theatre in Chennai.

Nag Ravi had taken seven prints of the film Machakkaaran from the Lab, but only dispatched six of them on tuesday evening to Malaysia and Singapore. When the producer Nanthagopal contacted Ravi, he said he is dispatching the seventh print of Machakkaran through a later flight, but around mid-night actor Jeevan got a tip-off, that Nag Ravi was making a pirated master copy of Machakaran at Devi Sridevi theatre. Immediately he along with his fans and producer Nanthagopal went to the preview theatre.

Initially Eknath the manager stopped them at the entrance and said a Telugu film was being screened, but they barged into the theatre and found Nag Ravi and his camera team taking a pirated copy from the seventh print that was not dispatched!!! When the producer caught them taking the pirated copy he was overcome with rage and hit everyone around including Nag Ravi, the operator and the theatre owner Eknath.Later Nag Ravi escaped and is absconding now!!

Nanthagopal has registered a police complaint at Teynampet police station. An emergency meeting of Tamil Film Producers Council and distributors association is going on to decide the course of action against Nag Ravi. Nag Ravi, now faces arrest under Goonda Act for indulging in video piracy.
