P. Susheela records a song after 13 years
 
After a 13-year-haitus, veteran playback singer P. Susheela has recorded a song for the movie ‘Sila nerangalil,’ set to tune by Srikant Deva. The lyrics have been written by Vairamuthu.
Susheela began her career in 1952 and has won several accolades in the first phase of her career spread across four decades.
She was the national award winner for best playback singer in 1969, 1971, 1977, 1982 and 1983. Both Tamil Nadu and Kerala State governments have also honoured her several times over.
‘Sila nerangalil†is directed by Jayaraj and Vincent Asokan, son of veteran actor Asokan, plays the lead. Navya Nair plays the female lead. Others in the cast include, Vineeth, Raghuvaran, Sreeman and Manobala.
Songs up for sale
P.Susheela has recently announced through her official website (psusheela.org) that all her songs in Tamil and Telugu, which is in her possession in about 4,000 records, are up for sale to any connoisseur of music.
