Naan Avanillai Press Meet, Jeevan - Working with 5 heroines is enjoyable

The actresses “Sneha, Malavika, Namitha, Keerthi Chawla and Jyothirmayi” are coming together for the movie Naan Avanillai starring Jeevan in the lead role at AVM Studios on Monday.

Jeevan the stylish bad boy of Kollywood has completed Naan Avan Illai a remake of the 1976 Gemini Ganesan classic. The last song with Jeevan and his five heroines is being canned on a set in AVM studio.

The unit of Naan Avan Illai took a break from the shoot to meet the press. The highlight of the meet was the five glam girls who were introduced to the press- Sneha, Namitha, Malavika, Keerthi Chawla and Jyothirmayi came together along with Jeevan, director Selva and music director Vijay Antony.

Directed by Selva, the movie is a remake of yesteryear classic titled the same directed by K Balachander. According to Selva, “We have made necessary changes in the script to suit the contemporary audience. The movie was made by K Balachander in 1976 but the theme is still apt for today’s society.â€

Director Selva said: “The new version of Naan Avan Illai will be a pucca commercial entertainer which will satisfy all sections of audiences. I decided to remake this classic as the old version was ahead of its times and it is an apt story for today’s youthâ€. All the actresses working without any ego and the movie had really shaped up well, he added.

Jeevan expressing his joy to play the role enacted by Gemini Ganesan in the original, said, “It is a different experience for him to be part of a movie with so many heroines. I am hopeful that the movie would be a cherished one to remember in my life.â€Bubbling with enthusiasm, Sneha, said, “It was comfortable working with this crew. We had great fun during the shoot and there was nothing called ego or attitude problem among us. We all share equal footage in the movie.â€

Malavika said: “Unfortunately I am here just after my marriage as I had to complete this song. I am off to South Africa for my honeymoon this week and let me tell you that I will continue to do films in future.â€Namitha, endorsing her view, said, “The movie would set a new trend in the industry. And she praised the unit for its professionalism.â€

However Keerthi and Jyothirmayi preferred to remain silent and just thanked the unit.The movie has musical score by Vijay Anthony and cinematography by U K Senthil Kumar.

Sneha plays a law college student, Namitha as a successful business woman, Malavika as a model, Keerthi Chawla as a Brahmin girl and Jyothirmayi as an orthodox Malayalee.

The movie produced by Japak will hit the screens on 20 April. Vijay Antony the music director spoke high about the songs which have shaped out well ,including a remix of an original tune. Naan Avan Illai is scheduled for release in April.
