Moolakkarai Pannaiyar based on the real life
Saravanan of Paruthi Veeran fame has been roped in to a new film titled ‘Moolakkarai Pannaiyar’. Sanjay Ram who had earlier directed Thoothukudi, Aadu puli aattam and Iyakkam will be directing the new film. ‘Moolakkarai Pannaiyar’ will be based on the real life of Venkatesa Pannaiyar who was shot dead in a police encounter a couple of years back in Chennai. Pannaiyar was a known face in Tiruchendur district and Saravanan will be playing the main role as Venkatesa Pannaiyar in the film.
Saravanan was asked to shed a lot of flab for this film which he is doing now. He is also reported to have serious discussions with friends and family of Pannaiyar so as to depict him in the right vein in the film. Actor Selva who also has an important role to play is using Moolakkarai Pannaiyar as a come back vehicle. Swathy, Adisaya and Dhanya are the three heroines who will be providing the glamour quotient for the film. Malaysia Vasudevan’s son Yugendran will be scoring the music for the film.
