MGR’s classic Adimai Penn releasing today
MGR’s 1969 classic Adimai Penn is ready to make a splash at the box office after the decree in favour of the right full owners who had the lease rights of MGR pictures movies such as Nadodi Mannan, Adimai Penn and Ulagam Sutrum Valiban.
Adimai Penn, which was one among the three films produced by the actor himself, was last released in 1995. It was caught in a legal battle over distribution rights which delayed its re release. This film is now making a grand comeback after 12 long years.
Adimai Penn has MGR in a double role and captivated the audiences in the 60’s with its exotic locations, grand sets and costumes. His hunch-backed character and the fight sequence with a lion are undoubtadly the best of Tamil Cinema.
