Kamal’s request - Karunanidhi agree
Kamal Hassan visited Karunanidhi, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu to offer his wishes on competing fifty years of active political service in the state. While watching the Dasavatharam album, the CM was visibly happy and besotted by Kamal’s various getups and had expressed his confidence and trust in the actor to take the Tamil cinema to a higher level.
Karunanidhi had also mentioned that he is always ready to help the actor in any possible way that he could.
Making use of this opportunity, Kamal had requested that the government should permit the film industry to shoot by flying in helicopter over certain important locations in Chennai like the Nehru stadium. The chief minister has reportedly given his consent immediately.
One more trivia about Dasavatharam is that a melody “Kallai mattum therindal kadavul theriyadu, kadavul mattum therindal kallai theriyadu†has been sung by Hariharan.
