Is Saif insecure?
He’s opted out of Karan Johar’s film citing date problems. But sources say it’s because the film also stars Abhiash.
Here’s a new addition to the many reasons that might have prompted Saif Ali Khan to opt out of Karan Johar’s next production, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Sources tell us that apart from date problems, Saif is wary of Abhishek and Aishwarya. “Saif was not too excited about his co-stars Abhishek and Aishwarya. The date could have been adjusted. Eventually, he decided to let go,” says a reliable source.
Tarun Mansukhani, who directs the film, has been working on it for more than six months and the film’s cast was finalised early this year. Initially, Saif was more than happy at the prospect of working with Abhiash. However, he left the film a week back citing reasons that he would be busy with Kunal Kohli’s film and Yash Raj Films’ Tashan.
A source close to Saif also says he is not too comfortable with Aishwarya Rai for reasons best known to him. “There is no obvious problem between Aishwarya and Saif. However, Saif has always maintained a safe distance from the Bachchans,” adds the source.
Saif has not worked with Abhishek in too many films except Salaam Namaste and LOC Kargil . But the actors didn’t have too many scenes together. Karan, however, was quite keen on having both the men in Mansukhani’s film.
