Gold medal awarded to Indian sexologist

Dr D Narayana Reddy has been awarded the Gold Medal Award 2007 by the World Association for Sexology for his pioneering work in the field of sexual health in India. The award was presented to him during the 18th World Congress of Sexology at Sydney, Australia, on April 15, Reddy a sexual medicine consultant, said in a press note here today.

Dr. D. Narayana Reddy is a consultant in Sexual Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Dega Institute and Family Planning Association of India, Chennai. He is a Fellow of the International Council of Sex Education and Parenthood and also a Fellow of the American College of Sexologists. He is also certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counsellors and Therapists. He completed his Ph.D from the University of Madras. He received the World Congress Award in 1985 at 7th World Congress of Sexology. He is the author of the Book Science Of Sex, published by the Family Planning Association of India.

Dr. Narayana Reddy is the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Sex Education and Parenthood International. He is also a Joint Secretary, Indian Association of Sex Educators, Counsellors and Therapists. He is a Committee Member of the National Medical panel of the Family Planning Association, and a Fellow member of the IMA Academy of Medical Specialties. Source: Hindu
