Gang held for printing Sivaji VCD covers
A three-member gang was arrested for printing VCD covers of Rajnikanth’s forthcoming film Sivaji at Border Thottam near here. Pirated CDs of newly-released Tamil films and pornographic CDs worth Rs 11 lakh were also seized. According to police, following a tip-off, a special team of police headed by Assistant Commissioner, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, Madasamy inspected few shops at Border Thottam.
They raided a printing house in the locality where the VCD and DVD covers for Sivaji were being printed. The movie will hit the screens only on 31 May. The properitor of the press Sagayarajan (33) and his employees Johnson (32) and Thammizharasan (33) were arrested. Also the pirated CDs worth Rs 11 lakh were seized. Source: NewsToday
