End of Exile for Balu Mahendra
Noted director Balu Mahendra has come out of his self imposed exile in direction and announced his next directorial venture Anal Kaatru. The movie is being produced by Ashok K Godwani under the banner of ANKK Movies, which has produced films in different languages.
Though the cast has not yet been finalized for ‘Anal Kaatru’, the music will be done by none other than Ilayaraja, announced Balu Mahendra. He said he went into a long silence in directing movies because he wanted to start a cinema school. But it was Rajeshwar who inspired him to direct again. Rajeshwar has penned script for films like Aval Appatiththaan. He has directed many distinctive films like Amaran and Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi.
Rajeshwar is now directing the movie Indira VIzha with Srikanth, newcomer Hemamalini and Namitha in the lead. Both the movies were launched in the same function since ANKK movies is the producer of both these movies. Bollywood director Rajkumar Santoshi, for whom Rajeshwar has written scripts, was the chief guest.
Namitha who attended the function in a body hugging skimpy outfit did not let the audience eyes wander away from her.
