DMK-run Raj Television Network Ltd
In an official announcement, the DMK-run Raj Television Network Ltd has informed that the name of the two new channels approved by ministry of information and broadcasting are ‘Kalaignar TV’ and Raj News’.
The management has informed that Kalaignar TV will have news, current affairs and entertainment for all sections of society. Recently, producers of the most expensive Tamil film - Sivaji - sold the telecast rights to this channel, choosing it over the rival Sun-TV network, owned by the Marans.
The announcement also says that Raj News would be exclusively a news channels covering all domestic and international news, business news and current affairs.
