Dhileepan did surgery on me, claims woman
A 30-year-old woman today claimed that it was she on whom the 15-year-old Dhileepan Raj performed caesarean operation and that the baby boy she was delivered of was dead.
Fathima Ghani, wife of Mohamed Shalih of Elangakurichi near Manapparai, said the baby was born with spinal deformity and was kept in an incubator for a couple of days, before it died. She was questioned by DSP Sridharan at a private hospital in Dindigul, where she has been admitted with symptoms of profuse bleeding and high temperature.
Meanwhile, Dhileepan, who has been eluding arrest for the past week, filed an anticipatory bail plea before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday. His doctor parents, Murugesan and Ganthimathi, have already been arrested.
According to sources, when the petition came up for hearing before Justice Rajasurya public prosecutor Siva Ayyappan vehemently opposed granting of bail to the boy stating that the inquiry report was yet to be submitted. The judge has posted the hearing for Friday. Meanwhile, a special police team formed to nab Dhileepan is camping at Chennai.
The Joint Director of Medical Services has issued a showcause notice to Dhillepan’s doctor parents, seeking clarifications on ‘irregularities’ in the scanning records of the hospital.
