Dell to invest $30 million in Sriperumbudur unit

Dell is committed to investing around $30 million in its Sriperumbudur unit over the next few years, company officials told Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi here on Monday.

A Dell team, headed by Kip Thomson, Senior Vice-President, Global Facilities; Richard Nelson, Senior Manager Global Services; and Pramod Jain, Tax Director, met Mr. Karunanidhi along with the Chief Secretary, L.K. Tripathy, and the Industry Secretary, M.F. Farooqui, and briefed them about the company’s progress and future plans.

Later, talking to reporters, Mr. Thomson said it was a good move to have invested in Tamil Nadu as it had talented and capable workers besides good infrastructure. Source: hindu
