Actor Vijayan passes away
Veteran actor Vijayan, who had acted more than 100 Tamil and Malayalam films, died of cardiac arrest at a private hospital on on 22nd September Saturday morning .
Vijayan, born at Kozhikode, was introduced by popular South Indian director Bharathiraja and acted as a hero in the Tamil movie `Niram Maaradha Pookkal’, which was a box-office hit.
One of his best was director Mahendran’s ‘Uthiri Pookal’ where he donned negative role.
In the latter part of his career, he donned many roles of villain and his role in Bharathiraja`s `Manvasanai` was a much appreciated one. Some of his latest films were ‘Ramana’, 7G Rainbow Colony, ‘5 Star’.
