Actor Rajasekar attacked by ChiranJeevi fans

Film actor Rajasekhar escaped an attack allegedly by megastar Chiranjeevi’s fans who stoned his car and broke the windows when he was returning home here early on Monday.
The attack took place when the actor was returning from a trip to Bhimavaram after disembarking from a train at Secunderabad. Dr. Rajasekhar who was driving a car was accompanied by wife Jeevitha and daughters Shivani and Shivanthika. The girls sustained injuries.
The attack was sparked off by Dr. Rajasekhar’s comments to a TV channel that he would not like to join the megastar’s proposed political party because the latter was ‘inexperienced’. Earlier, a group of fans also tried to enter the train compartment but was pushed away by security personnel of Minor Irrigation Minister Maganti Venkateswara Rao and MP V. Balashowry, who were travelling in the same train.
Within hours of the attack, Chiranjeevi reached the actor’s residence in Jubilee Hills and waited for over an hour as Dr. Rajasekhar was at a live, phone-in programme organised by another TV channel in this connection. As soon as the actor returned home, the two actors were closeted for about half-an-hour, after which the two, with Ms. Jeevitha in tow, spoke to presspersons. Source: Hindu
