5th Chennai International Film Festival
The 5th edition of The Chennai International Film Festival[CIFF] is scheduled from 14th to 23rd December 2007. The festival opens with the Oscar winner for the best foreign language film of the year “The Lives of Others†from Germany. Kamal Haasan, Mani Rathnam, Suhasini Mani Rathnam, K. Balachandar, Sathyaraj are expected to attend the inaugural function to be held on December 14.
The tamil movies Paruthiveeran, Mozhi, Veyil, Onbadhu Ropai Nottu, Pallikoodam and Evano Oruvan will be screened at Pilot theatre, Woodlands theatre and South Indian Film Chamber in Chennai during the festival. Around 124 films from 42 countries are expected to take part in this film festival.
