Veteran director Vasanth who has given us some memorable films in the past is back with Sathum Podaathay, a romantic thriller.

The film has Pritviraj and Padmapriya in the lead with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. In fact, the director himself says that Padmapriya has never looked so good as in Sathum Podaathay. Let’s find out how?

Padmapriya said that the credit of her looks in Sathum Podaathay goes to Vasanth, cameraman Dinesh and her make-up man. she had never given too much care about her looks in any of her film as they were all character driven. It was noted cameraman S.Kumar who first tried to make herlook beautiful (Laughs) in the Malayalam film Vadakkumnathan. Till then, she was very careless. In this film, they have used colours that look good on her and added to that, she has lost lot of weight.

In Sathum Podaathay, Dinesh has put in maximum effort to make everyone look good and the visuals in the film are outstanding.

Each frame is amazing and the chemistry between Vasanth and Dinesh shows on screen.

Padmapriya added that she plays Bhanu- a middle class girl and for such a character there is no need for heavy make-up. In the film, she had used basic make-up which suits her wheatish complexion and the backdrop of the film.

She said” Vasanth is one among the brilliant directors . He gives so much importance to each and every shot and gets the best out of his actors. And let me tell you ..he can be painful at times (smiles) as he is a perfectionist”.

Sathum Podaathay is in the thriller genre though there are many funny moments and subtle romance between Padmapriya and Pritviraj.
