Manjal Veyil Prasanna and Sandhya takes off to islands off Bangkok

The cast and crew of ‘Manjal Veyil’ have flown to Bangkok to shoot for song sequence. It is a done thing in films to go abroad to shoot things, but there’s something special about this one.

Manjal Veyil, starring Prasanna and Sandya, are off to Bangkok for a 10 day shoot of two song sequences. Direction is by Raja. Dance Master Vishnu Deva has also left for Bankok along with the team. Sources say that the song sequences have a very different concept and songs like this have never come out before. They have even native dancers of Bangkok dancing for this song.

Out of the 2 songs, one is to be shot in a glider plane. This is a first time for a song in a Tamil film.

About 30 people including hero and heroine Prasannaa nd Sandhya, director Raja, cinematographer D Ananth Kumar, choreographer Vishnu flew to Bangkok yesterday.

“Boating is very common in the Thai islands. A 4 seater glider plane will be used and the scene shot by remote control. Since this is very safe, for the first time we will shoot the scene in this plane. Apart from the song, Bala appears in a special role and a fight scene will also be shot. There will be a total of 10 days shooting,” said director Raja.

“Gold potta poo neeyaa, Jeans potta thee neeya…” and “malarudhu malarudhu oru manam malarudhu” will be shot in Bangkok. Music is by Bharadwaj and lyrics by Pa Vijay.

These songs will be picturised on Prasanna and Sandhya.
