Jyothirmayi in happy mood after success of Naan Avanillai
Jyothirmayi is on a song thanks to the success of Naan Avanillai. “I am happy that my maiden venture as heroine (Thalainagaram) went well. It is followed by a big win in Naan Avanillai”, she says.Jyothirmayi plays a Malayalee girl in the movie.Says the actress, “I was hesitant initially about working in Naan Avanillai. But Selvah gave me enough scenes. Every one of us felt happy to be part of the movie”.
Heaping laurels on director Selvah, Jyothirmayi, says, “People say that I appeared in glamorous outfits for a song in Naan Avanillai. However I feel it was what the script demanded from me. Doing glamour roles that would suit the story is no wrong”, she adds.In contrast to Naan Avanillai, she plays Maniammai, wife of EVR Periyar, in her forthcoming Tamil release Periyar.
