Filmfare launched its Tamilnadu edition. The first issue of the prestigious entertainment magazine was unveiled by ‘Ilayathalapathy` Vijay on Wednesday night at Accord Metropolitan, Chennai.

The May issue has “Vijay-V for Victory” on the cover and the actor was all smiles as he launched the Tamilnadu edition with Jitesh Pillai the editor, Filmfare. Thangadurai the south chief, Filmfare was seen beside Vijay throughout the function.

In his speech Vijay said” I never miss reading any issue of Filmfare every month and it’s my favourite magazine”. He also thanked Filmfare for choosing him to be featured on the cover of their first Tamilnadu edition.

Editor Jitesh Pillai said that Tamil entertainment content is becoming big, especially in places like Malaysia & Singapore where there are a lot of Tamils. He also added that a launch of Telugu edition will happen next month in Hyderabad and a Malayalam edition will follow soon.
