Singer Hariharan is going to don a different role from the Singing. He is going to compose music for Tamil director Saran’s new film Modhi Vilayadu. The film Modhi Vilayadu is produced by Media One Global Company.

Music composition is not new to Hariharan. He is one of the Colonoial Cousins along with Leslie Lewis. However, this is the first time he is composing music for a feature film. It has been a long and fruitful journey for the singer from when he was introduced by A.R Rahman in the patriotic song “Thamizha Thamizha” for Maniratnam’s film `Roja’.

Hariharan also won the best male playback singer in the 1995 Tamil Nadu State Government Film Awards for the song “Uyire Uyire” in Bombay under the music composition of A.R Rahman.
