Balu Mahendra while talking in a felicitation funtion of author Charu Niveditha has expressed his displeasure in commercializing an infamous event such as the Dharmapuri bus burning incident in Kallori which was used as the climax for Balaji Sakthivel`s film.

The function was organised for felicitation of author Charu Niveditha on the occasion of the release of three books written by him. Directors Balu Mahendra, Balaji Shakthivel, Kanimozhi, actress Jyothirmayi, Vasantha Balan and Bharathy Krishnakumar were present at the event. The first copy was released by member of Parliment, Kanimozhi and was received by actress Jyothirmayi.

Speaking during this function, director Balu Mahendra said that he always liked the Balaji Shakthivel and was greatly impressed with Kadhal. However he was dissapointed that the directed whom he admired has tried to commercialize the Dharmapuri bus burning incident. However he expects more good movies from Balaji and his admiration does not diminish because of this.
