Please be informed that I am Adebayo C.Abiodun, an Assistant Director with the National Assembly Abuja Clerk to the House Committee on Rules and Business. I applied for an entry clearance to the United Kingdom as a student visitor to attend a one week course at the Management School London. I presented Nigerian Passport number A2462355 as proof of my identity.
I had earlier applied for a UK visa on two previous occasions with my first Nigerian passport Number A0346835 between 1999/2001 when my committee (Agriculture and Rural Development) traveled to United Kingdom, India, Japan and China on Parliamentary study tours. In 2003 the said passport was misplaced at the U.S Embassy Lagos when, I applied as Secretary to House Committee on Foreign Affairs for a visa to the United States of America on a Parliamentary attachment to the U.S Congress.
I reported the missing passport to the Nigerian Police and was issued with a police report I also swore an affidavit at the High Court Abuja. The Nigerian Immigration Service collected my affidavit and issued me with a new passport on 13th may 2004 Number: A2462355 which I still use till date.
I make bold to say that my first passport A0346835 was reported missing in transit at the U.S Embassy Lagos. All efforts to recover proved abortive.
My prayer is that the British High Commission should consider the above submission as the truth. I have other documented evidence to prove my assertion and could be invited for oral interview if need be. Thank you 08033142062
