Ajith and Shalini are blessed with a baby girl. Shalini gave birth to a girl child in the early hours of Thursday morning at Appollo Hospital in Chennai. It was a Caesarean operation. Mother and the child are doing good.

The baby has been a late new year gift and a early pongal gift for the couple. Ajith and Shalini were married on 24th of April in the year 2000 after a brief romance.
