Nokia signs MoU with SRM varsity
Mobile phone manufacturer Nokia and Chennai-based SRM University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer B.Tech. degree programmes for Nokia employees at its Sriperumbudur facility.
A company press release said selected employees can opt for either B.Tech. in Mechatronics or Mechanical. They would be selected based on eligibility criteria laid out by the university.
Called Nurturing Employees and Schooling Talent (NEST), the programme is a seven-semester credit-based onsite programme and would help diploma holders acquire a degree, the release added.
