No more seductive dances – Tejasri
One need not necessarily get enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. One can get enlightenment anywhere and Tejasri seems to have got it now!
Ever since she did that sexy number “china veedaa varattumaa, periya veedaa varattumaa….” Tejasri came to be known for her kuthu song and dance routines. But now, she has some roles as a heroine and this has made her decide not to do any more single item numbers in films.
When asked why she has made such a resolve, she says, “Just because one does these songs in a couple of films, people invite me to do only same type of roles. That’s why I have changed my earlier decision.
Now I am acting in ‘Nadigai.’ That apart, I am acting in some Marathi films. I am doing my own dubbing because I am fluent in the language. I have even received offers to act in Bhojpuri films. In Telugu, I am doing a heroine role. When I get good stories, I can show my talent.”
