The birth of romance: an interview with Naren, the new bride
After the wedding celebrations, Naran has returned to Chennai with his wife Manju. Every word of his is flavoured with love for his wife.
Meeting the press yesterday in Chennai, he placed his ’sorry’and his gratitude before the audience. He himself explained that ’sorry’was for not inviting to his wedding in Kerala and gratitude for having given him support ever since ‘Chittiram pesudadi’.
Asked to elaborate on the instant he fell in love with his wife Manju, he said “Manju was introduced to me two years ago, when she was a presenter in Kairali TV. I liked her instantly. But I was wondering if it was love or something else. I met Manju again when she participated in the ‘Miss Kerala’contest. She won the general knowledge round. I was captivated by her intelligence. In that instant only I decided that she was for me”.
But what did Manju has to say to that?
I took her straight to my house and introduced her to my parents. My parents blessed her when she took leave. I took that as her answer to me.” On hearing this, Manju’s face was blushin and smiling alternataively.
Did you happen to watch the film ‘Pallikoodam’? Isn’t he acting very closely with Sneha in the song sequence ‘Indha nimidam…’? The question was directed at Manju.
That is his profession. Cinema and life are different. I will be his loveable wife and a good friend. I am proud that I am going to be instrumental to his success.” This was said in a musical voice in Tamil mixed with Malayalam. She is the one who sung “Idhu enna pudu ulaham…’in the film ‘Sittiram pesudadi’.
Where is the honeymoon?
“Not yet. We had to rush to Chennai to meet the shooting schedule. We have to plan yet.” When he said that glancing at his wife, Manju was blushing again.
