Director Priyadarshan is making a film titled ‘Kanjivaram’ on the life of the Kanchipuram weavers. Kanjivaram is the original name of Kanchipuram. The film would run to about 90 minutes and Priyadarshan is making it with an international award in mind.
Prakashraj has an important role in the film that has a total budget of 1.5 crores. Since Priyadarshan is making this film as a non-commercial project, Prakashraj is charging no fee.
